As audiences across the country revisit American history, SAUND vs COCHRAN offers a story few people know– a dramatic 1956 California congressional race that drew national attention, 80% voter turnout, and an upset victory that sent Dalip Singh Saund to Washington as the first Asian, Indian, and Sikh American member of Congress.
